Enjoy luxury in the Indian Ocean with Constance Hotels
The Indian Ocean is an earthly paradise of dreamy destinations. Live out your holiday fantasy at one of six spectacular Constance Hotels & Resorts
04/01/2021
With the combined might of ten idyllic beaches, 27 restaurants offering world-class dining and six exceptional spas, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to holidays in the Maldives, Mauritius and the Seychelles, thanks to Constance Hotels & Resorts.
Maldives
A thousand sandy islands, studded with palm trees, cast like jewels across the turquoise sea… no question that the Maldives is paradise as it’s seen on the postcards. Just a seaplane ride away from the airport, in the Maldives’ North Ari Atoll, discover Constance Halaveli, a five-star deluxe Leading Hotel of the World with its own colourful house reef and dive centre. If you’ve dreamed of sleeping in a glamorous overwater villa, this is the place – each one comes with its own private pool. Choose the new Premium All-Inclusive package and your stay will include free-flowing Taittinger Champagne and a daily $100 spa credit, to name just two of the many perks. And on one gorgeous sun-soaked isle in the South Ari Atoll you’ll find the recently refurbished Constance Moofushi for barefoot luxury at its finest. This intimate resort has exactly the kind of laid-back, ‘no shoes, no news’ vibe that you come to the Maldives for, with sand-floor restaurants and secluded thatched villas. As indulgent as it is relaxed – its Premium All-Inclusive policy lets you join wine tastings in the surf or dine on lobster feasts – it’s also a diver’s delight, with a house reef and coral garden just off the main beach. You might even spot manta rays, as the resort is situated on their migration path.

Seychelles
The epitome of conscientious luxury, the 115 islands of the Seychelles marry brilliant sandy beaches, misty forest peaks and unique wildlife with eco-friendly stays. Constance Ephelia sits majestically on two of the best beaches on Mahé, next to Port Launay marine park, famous for its whale shark sightings. Feeling adventurous? This fabulous resort hotel, surrounded by lush and verdant landscapes, is great for active travellers and you can try complimentary non-motorised watersports, play squash and tennis – even zip-line through the treetops, to really get the adrenaline pumping! After a busy morning, relax at Constance Spa at Ephelia – the largest spa in the Indian Ocean – then follow up with a romantic alfresco dinner of succulent seafood or zingy Asian flavours at one of five on-site restaurants. Over on the nearby island of Praslin, in one of the most exquisite spots in the Indian Ocean, Constance Lemuria is a deluxe Leading Hotel of the World with its own impressive 18-hole golf course. It’s also home to three dreamy beaches, including stunning Anse Georgette, all of which act as turtle nesting grounds from October to February. Be sure to visit the hotel’s eco-kiosk to learn more about the fascinating local flora and fauna.

Mauritius
“Mauritius was made first, and then heaven; and heaven was copied after Mauritius.” These words –uttered by a local and famously immortalised by Mark Twain – are as true today as ever. Vibrant culture, coastal villages and volcanic caves are all within easy striking distance of Constance Belle Mare Plage, set on a mile-long, sugar-white beach. Take complimentary water-skiing or wake-boarding classes, play a round on one of two championship golf courses, or unwind with a lemongrass-fragranced massage in the tranquil spa. With six bars and seven restaurants to choose from, and cuisines ranging from sushi to Italian, there’s a delicious meal for every taste. But the crowning glory? The Blue Penny Cellar, a wine bar that’s home to a cool 40,000 bottles. Just a short drive away is another oenophiles’ paradise – the Constance Prince Maurice, whose own wine cellar houses some 25,000 bottles. You can enjoy many of the bottles at this boutique hideaway – another Leading Hotel of the World – as part of the new super Premium All-Inclusive concept, including free-flowing Champagne and unlimited green fees on the two championship golf courses. The hotel is located on a sprawling private peninsula for ultimate get-away-from-it-all vibes and, unusually for Mauritius, has unique stilted overwater villas so you can fall asleep with the waves lapping calmly below.
