Punta Tragara, Capri

Designed by Le Corbusier, this incredible Capresian property has hosted the likes of President Eisenhower and Winston Churchill, and no two rooms are the same. The Art Suite at Punta Tragara is filled with quirky design notes such as an enormous gilded mirror, warped lamp stands by Promemoria and a free-standing tub facing astonishing views of the Faraglioni rocks and sapphire waters below.

Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi

The USP of this recently opened hotel’s Water Sunrise villas is undoubtedly the view, where guests wake to cobalt skies and gin-clear waters. Alongside butler service, the villas come with a private plunge pool, wine fridge, Bang & Olufsen music system and, in the bathroom, an over-sized copper bath tub with infinity views of the open sea.

Mandarin Oriental, New York

Overlooking Central Park and the Hudson River, the Oriental suite on the hotel’s 52nd floor is a vision of blue, cream and silver, fitted with a custom designed kitchen unit and a living room with Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors and handcrafted oriental rugs. Coated in sleek black marble, the bathroom looks out on the Big Apple’s iconic cityscape, allowing guests to soak in style while admiring the verdant park below.

Southern Ocean Lodge, Kangaroo Island, Australia

For nature-lovers looking for a remote hideaway, this resort ticks all boxes. Check into the Osprey Pavilion suite where décor includes a sleek sunken lounge, elegant furnishings and mesmerising views of the coastal wilderness. In the bathroom, enjoy the heated limestone floors before soaking in the hand-sculpted granite bath.

Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, Thailand

Nestled in the rainforest of Chiang Rai, the tents at this ultra-luxe Four Seasons take glamping to new heights. Adorned with bespoke furnishings made from natural materials, the 54sqm tent comes with a sumptuous king-size bed, an outdoor rain shower and an alfresco deck where a custom-made hot tub overlooks the mountains of Laos, the Ruak River in Burma and the jungle that binds the two.

Tivoli Mofarrej, São Paulo

Located 22 floors up, the Presidential Suite at this hotel offers stunning vistas of the cityscape, framed dramatically by concrete reinforcements on the building’s exterior. While the room is a picture of serenity featuring cream linens, warm woody tones and sultry lighting, the bathroom is fabulous, decked out in gleaming marble with a tub next to the windows so you can luxuriate while admiring the skyline.

Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai

With a total of 1,539 rooms, this mega resort’s two underwater suites look out on to the largest open-air aquarium in the Middle East and Africa, home to more than 65,000 marine animals. Floor-to-ceiling windows line each suite’s lounge, bedroom and bathroom, where guests can bathe with toiletries by La Ric before wrapping themselves in bathrobes from French linen brand D Porthault.

Pangkor Laut Resort, Malaysia

Set on Pangkor Laut island on Malaysia’s western coast, this sprawling resort is built on the jungle’s fringes, where long-tailed macaques roam and oriental pied hornbills soar overhead. Here, the Spa Villas sit on stilts on the water, each with an oversized tub set next to a seafront balcony where guests can reinvigorate with calming views of the Strait of Malacca.
