Harry Specters is coming to the lounges
Easter in the lounges
From 18-21 April, British Airways is hosting a range of Easter treats in the lounges. Award-winning chocolatier Harry Specters will be at Heathrow. Since 2012, it has been creating delicious chocolate whose profits create new opportunities for young autistic people. Head to the Club lounges for chocolate Easter shapes and mini eggs filled with sea salt caramel or dark chocolate. Or pop into the T5 First lounge, where you can have your own Easter egg chocolate bar personalised by Harry Specters, with multiple festive stamps, decorations and colours to choose from. If you’re in the Concorde lounge, look out for Biscuiteers, the stylish British company that’s famous for its beautifully hand-iced biscuits in fabulous packaging. Grab yourself an Easter biscuit or share the love with a delicious gift for a loved one.

British Airways colleagues doing something funny for money
Red Nose Day roundup
Comic Relief hit the big 4-0 this year and, to celebrate, British Airways went bigger than ever on 21 March. Flying Start (the airline’s partnership with Comic Relief) is proud to have supported Red Nose Day for more than 15 years, and this year saw a riot of activities designed to do something funny for money. Kicking things off, BA hosted its traditional annual Trolley Dash through London, while teams in India hosted their own versions in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. There was also a fun run, one million step challenges, magician Ben Hanlin raising the laughs at Heathrow, as well as merchandise sales, special on-board menus and a British Airways appearance on the live BBC Red Nose Day event. Since the inception of Flying Start, BA’s colleagues and customers have raised more than £30m – helping more than 1.1 million people who need it most.

BA Better World Report
We know that flying has a significant impact on the planet, and achieving net zero by 2050 or sooner requires long-term transformation as well as bold, urgent action today. That’s why the BA Better World sustainability programme is British Airways’ most important journey yet. BA Better World builds on British Airways’ long track record of attention to sustainability in the world of aviation, focusing on where the airline believes it can make the biggest impact for its business, customers and for society – People, Planet and Responsible Business. But there is still work to do and BA is looking forward to collaborating with customers, colleagues, peers and partners to continue to drive further change. Find out more about how to get involved with the journey at BA Better World.

Elegant and refined Nyetimber 1086 Rosé
A touch of English sparkle
British Airways is the only airline to serve award-winning prestige cuvée English sparkling wine on board, meaning customers can now enjoy original sparkling variations from pioneering British wine houses each quarter. From April, customers travelling in First can exclusively enjoy a glass or two of 1086 by Nyetimber Rosé 2014, bringing the taste of summer to the skies. Selected by BA Master of Wine Tim Jackson, Nyetimber 1086 is ‘homegrown’ in Nyetimber vineyards of the South of England and is a textured and generous wine with a core of bright red fruit.
The wine will be followed in July by Gusbourne’s luxurious prestige cuvée Fifty One Degrees North 2016, then in October by 1086 by Nyetimber 2014 Brut – the very first English prestige cuvée ever to be released. A new wine from acclaimed wine producer Dermot Sugrue, located in the South Downs, will ring in the new year from January 2026.
The airline’s selection of premium English sparkling wines continues in the Club World cabin, with several additions for customers to savour on a rotational basis. Look out for Digby Fine English’s Brut NV over the coming months, followed by Gusbourne’s 2019 Vintage Rosé from July and, from October, Hattingley Valley’s Blanc de Noirs, made exclusively for British Airways and previously served in First.
