Supporting the British Red Cross through the BA Better World Community Fund
From May to December this year, on-board donations from BA customers will help support the BA Better World Community Fund. All donations raised will be shared equally between the airline’s five principal charity partners: Alzheimer’s Society, The Earthshot Prize, The King’s Trust, the British Red Cross and the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).
Each month, we spotlight one of these charity partners – this month, it’s the British Red Cross. In any emergency, the British Red Cross is here and ready to respond when floods, earthquakes and disasters turn people’s lives upside down. Since 2022, British Airways has supported the charity’s response to UK emergencies. From providing practical and emotional support during a crisis, to helping communities prepare and recover, the expert teams at the British Red Cross are on the ground 24/7, to ensure that no one faces an emergency alone.

Welcoming Gusbourne sparkling wine on board
Cheers! BA is adding English sparkling wine Gusbourne to its First and Club World drinks menu, from now until September.
As the only three-time winner of the IWSC English Wine Producer of the Year, Gusbourne has been making exceptional wine (from its own vineyards in Kent) with craftsmanship and attention to detail for more than 20 years.
When you're flying in First, look out for Gusbourne’s Fifty One Degrees North 2016. Crafted from a standalone vintage and aged for six years, this prestige cuvée sparkling wine has flavours of orchard fruits, brioche and toasted nuts.
If you’re looking for something a little fruiter and happen to have a long-haul flight booked, try Gusbourne’s Rosé 2019 in Club World. With a zesty finish, its palate is dominated by red fruits: strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants, and rhubarb – alongside red apples and notes of orange.

Luxury skincare by Dr David Jack
What’s on in the lounges?
British Airways customers travelling through the arrivals lounge in July were surprised and delighted to receive luxury skincare gifts from Dr David Jack. Dr David Jack is a leading London based aesthetic doctor, whose Harley Street clinic inspired him to create a simplified but effective skincare regime. British Airways lounge visitors received a bottle of the brand’s Supernova Antioxidant Cleansing Gel (RRP £45), which targets impurities and effortlessly removes makeup while protecting the delicate skin barrier.
And there’s more for August at the Heathrow Terminal 5 lounges, as other luxury skincare brands are offering treats for British Airways customers. Over the first three weekends of August, Emma Hardie is giving out the full skincare pampering experience, starting with the Pump & Glow Hydrating Mist. Just one spritz keeps your skin hydrated, protected and radiant even after applying foundation. Once you’ve grabbed a bottle, you will be offered a complementary Emma Hardie skincare experience, leaving you relaxed and your skin well hydrated during your journey.

What’s more, on the weekends of 23 and 30 of August, Nourish London is bringing a refreshing selection of organic mists for you to enjoy on your travels. Try the Protect Cooling Toning Mist, a vitamin-rich gentle toner, and the Antioxidant Peptide Face Mist, which helps to soothe and brighten your skin. To help you get some sleep on your flight, pick up the Sleepy Lavender Pillow Mist in the lounge before you go. This relaxing blend of essential oils is a hand baggage essential for long-haul flights.

BrewDog on tap in the Club Lounge
For craft beer fans this summer, British Airways has introduced the BrewDog Bar in the Club Lounge at Gatwick airport. But here’s the twist – it is ‘pour your own’ style, so get ready to brush up on your bartending technique. On the draught taps, you can choose from BrewDog’s classic Punk IPA or the tropical session Wingman IPA. In the fridges, you will find British Airways’ exclusive craft beer, the zesty transatlantic Speedbird OG IPA, along with chilled glasses for creating your perfect pour. So, pull up a bar stool, check out the beer-related reading material and practise your best bartender impression as you look forward to your flight.
