Avios made effortless
British Airways Executive Club Members know there are more than a few ways to amass Avios – be it up in the sky or down here on the ground. Now, though, there’s a new way to collect that’s available for customers of Barclays Premier Banking – and it might just be the easiest one yet…
British Airways Executive Club Members who bank with Barclays Premier Banking1 can collect more Avios and get closer to their future getaway, all thanks to Barclays Avios Rewards2 – making Avios collecting effortless for just £12 a month. The only UK current account that collects Avios for you.
Barclays Premier Banking customers who are a part of the Barclays Avios Rewards family will see a steady 1,500 Avios drop into their British Airways Executive Club account each month, every month. That’s a tidy 18,000 Avios every year, plus new Barclays customers can enjoy a joining bonus of 25,000 Avios3. That means you can get up to 43,000 Avios in your first year alone, if you switch in your old current account via the Current Account Switch Service within the first three months of joining Barclays Avios Rewards. Existing Barclays customers who have been with Barclays for four months or more will get a joining bonus of 2,500 Avios2 .
Best of all, you’ll receive a British Airways cabin upgrade voucher4 to use on an Avios Reward Flight booking each year to mark your Barclays Avios Rewards anniversary, meaning a flight in British Airways’ World Traveller Plus or Club World cabins could be up for grabs.
Any questions, the Barclays app5 is on hand to tell you what you need to know about Barclays Avios Rewards – and how much Avios you’ve made along the way.
Now all that’s left to decide is what to do with all those Avios. Here, we have an idea or two to get you going…
New to Barclays? Switch your old current account using the Current Account Switch Service in your first three months of joining Barclays Avios Rewards and receive 25,000 Avios3. This joining bonus will cover a peak Reward Flight return ticket to one of several British Airways short-haul destinations (including Barcelona, Budapest, Warsaw or sunny Lisbon) in Euro Traveller economy (24,000 Avios + £9)6. Don’t forget to pack the SPF!
This is how many Avios customers will get each year, as a monthly 1,500 Avios spices up your account. With this, fliers could easily grab a peak return Euro Traveller Reward Flight to spots such as Milan, Nice, Bordeaux and Copenhagen (18,000 Avios + £9)6.
One new customer joining bonus and twelve instalments of your monthly Avios later, you’ll get a mighty 43,000 Avios in the account if you’re a new Barclays customer and switch via the Current Account Switch Service3. With this many Avios, you can go big: hit Miami’s bougiest boardwalks using 35,000 Avios + £757 or explore the Harajuku fashion scene in Tokyo with 40,000 Avios + £1008 – both peak, long-haul Reward Flights that’ll make your bucket list that bit lighter.
