Corfu is a place of many firsts – the first Greek University, Philharmonic Orchestra and School of Fine Arts were all founded on the island. So when the Dreams Resorts & Spas group decided to open its first property in Greece, Corfu was a fitting choice. Part of the World of Hyatt, Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa welcomes guests to kick back and relax with its Unlimited Luxury® concept – think all-inclusive access to accommodation, activities, premium drinks, gourmet dining and live entertainment – so all you need to bring is the SPF.
Ideally located just five minutes from the vibrant seaside town of Gouvia, the crashing sound of waves is never too far away here, whether you’re indulging in a full-body massage at the Dreams Spa or taking a stroll through its vast estate. All 323 rooms have unbeatable views – take your pick from the Ionian Sea or the beautifully landscaped gardens – which you can enjoy from your private balcony or terrace. Up the ante by booking into the Preferred Club, where perks include an upgraded suite and unbeatable access to a premium concierge service, private lounge, exclusive pool and a slew of VIP privileges.
Here are four more reasons to drift into island time…

The infinity pool at Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa
Enjoy a sun-drenched holiday with a spot of culture
Gouvia is a fishing village built on a historic harbour near the northern part of Corfu. It was used as a Venetian naval base during battles with the Ottoman empire and still has one of the most famous marinas in the world. Nowadays, Gouvia has evolved to cater for the many international visitors who come to town to enjoy water sports, international dining and a bustling nightlife scene. The resort shuttle takes you into central Corfu in just ten minutes and it’s a great chance to breathe in some of the local culture with a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Corfu, the Venetian Arsenal or the Museum of Maritime History.

Get your feet wet and soak up the fun
Endless adventures await water babies (and adults) with Dreams Corfu’s four pools – including an infinity pool, a mermaid lagoon and a swim-up bar for easy access to your favourite tipples – not to mention that the sandy beach is just a stone’s throw away. And coming this summer are two new floating waterparks that will thrill the whole family, with one designed for children under ten and the second catering to older kids and adults. Active types can borrow bikes to explore the area, book in for water sports at the beach or pick from a daily roster of sporty activities, which span everything from basketball to aqua aerobics and beach volleyball. For a more laidback excursion, stroll over to the marina and charter a yacht for the day to see Corfu’s majestic coves and underwater life.
Unlimited feasting opportunities
Dining is a full-on cultural experience at Dreams Corfu, with tales of the island’s storied past woven into the menus of the resort’s five restaurants and numerous bars. There’s still a strong Italian influence on the island, and La Trattoria Ristorante celebrates that with epic pizza and pasta. Hungry for a taste of something more traditional? Yiayia’s Greek menu has it covered with crisp salads, moussaka and homemade tzatziki. Meat lovers can satisfy their cravings at the Seaside Grill, while those who believe every island feast should include fresh fish can head to the Oceana Seafood Restaurant. Can’t quite decide? World Café has a sumptuous buffet spread with a global theme that’s sure to appeal to all tastebuds. And there’s no need to wait for the drinks trolley…With bars dotted across every corner of the resort, guests can enjoy a piña colada right on the beach or a glass of wine while watching the evening’s performance at the Showtime Theater.

Young sailors are well catered for
Teens and tiny tots need not feel left out, as there are bookable excursions to a volcano and the third largest water park in Europe – sure to please even the most demanding young family members. For those who prefer to stay closer to home, the in-house Explorer’s Club (for ages 4-12) and Core Zone (for ages 13-17) offer plenty of activities, from playground fun and science experiments to crafts and video games, that will keep them busy while the grown-ups get some well-deserved time to themselves.
