Opening image: Golden Gate Bridge in the mist. Above: Judah Street in Outer Sunset, one of my favourite neighbourhoods in San Francisco. It’s the perfect balance of houses, character and restaurants. / The Painted Ladies houses at Alamo Square Park. Grab some coffee and picnic on the grass lawn to this view / The Cliff House at Ocean Beach is the perfect getaway for an afternoon walk, sunset and place to watch the waves. / The beach at Point Reyes is stunning. It’s a beautiful stretch of sand and ocean that disappears into the distance.

The tree tunnel on the way to Point Reyes lighthouse (about 90 minutes north of the city) is one of the must-see photo ops. / During winter months, the waves put on quite the show at Pacifica Pier (ten minutes south of the city). / The coast of Big Sur makes for a perfect day trip. No matter how many times you come here, there’s always new places to stop and explore. / California Street is one of the most iconic streets running through Chinatown and down into the Financial District.
