Pulitzer Amsterdam

Netherlands

This five-star design hotel in the charming, compact Nine Streets area and Jordaan district has preserved Dutch golden age grandeur so well that it feels like staying in a living museum. Each room is decadently dressed in its own signature style and features original exposed beams, custom artworks and luxurious velvet headboards. Take one of the hotel’s guest bicycles for local-inspired exploring – Dam Square, Anne Frank House and the Rijksmuseum are all close by. Return for romantic, canal-side dining at Jansz, which serves modern European fare, followed by expertly crafted cocktails at Pulitzer’s Bar. (Opt for the Leather Negroni, a nod to the city’s historic leather trade.) Come morning, the secluded courtyard garden is exclusive to guests for an alfresco breakfast. Follow this with a cryotherapy facial at The Beauty House and you’ll be rejuvenated for your sightseeing day ahead.

British Airways Holidays offers complimentary breakfast when booking a stay from 1 November 2025–31 March 2026 (excludes 31 December 2025). Book by 30 September 2025. The specified offer will appear in red text during the booking process, should it be applicable. Price shown on ba.com includes any applicable discount. Subject to availability. T&Cs apply.

The Welbeck Hotel

London, UK

There’s good reason this Art Nouveau hotel in Marylebone is all about wellness: it’s on historic Welbeck Street, the medical epicentre of London since the 1800s (keep an eye out for the blue plaque commemorating Dr Thomas Young, who practiced at number 48 from 1800). The Edwardian building itself came a century later, while the 164 rooms and suites – ranging from cosy options to family-style categories – had a refresh in February 2025. Expect mustard-hued soft furnishings, curvaceous headboards and botanical motifs honouring the location’s medical past plus the chance to treat yourself to a bespoke IV therapy via Ruuby, the hotel’s in-room beauty concierge service. (Don’t worry, if you’re more of a traditionalist, there are also lymphatic draining massages and facials featuring celeb skincare brand Dr Barbara Sturm). Hit the 24-hour mini gym before sampling a ‘prescribed plates’ breakfast menu – dishes include everything from the signature ginger shot to courgette pancakes – and you’ll be ready to shop till you drop at Selfridges, just around the corner.

British Airways Holidays offers a two-night stay from £399pp on selected dates from 1-30 November 2025. Includes economy (Euro Traveller) return flights from Edinburgh airport, one checked bag per person and accommodation. Book by 30 September 2025. The specified offer will appear in red text during the booking process, should it be applicable. Price shown on ba.com includes any applicable discount. Subject to availability. T&Cs apply.
