The British Airways Club lounge at Heathrow is always my favourite spot to reset before a flight. It’s spotless and fresh and the breakfast buffet never misses. My top tip is to head to the far end by the windows. It’s quieter and the natural light is perfect.

I love the British Airways lounge at Rome’s Fiumicino airport. As you’d expect in Italy, they do the best fresh Aperol Spritz and my kids love the cantuccini biscuits. They always put a few into a takeaway cup and eat them throughout the flight!

Enjoying a meal at the Club Lounge at Heathrow; Opening image: Champagne Bar in the Chelsea Lounge at JFK
JFK’s Chelsea Lounge is the best pre-flight experience I’ve had in the US. I recommend booking your shower the moment you arrive. There are three hotel-quality suites with marble, huge mirrors, Dyson hairdryers and toiletries. If you’ve come off a connecting flight or are heading into meetings the next day, it’s a small reset that makes a massive difference.

The Concorde Room at Heathrow T5 is more than just a lounge – it’s a portal to possibility. Steeped in the legacy of the golden age of transatlantic travel, it still carries that buzz of New York-London energy. I always head straight for a quiet corner, order a flat white and take ten minutes to reset. It’s about stepping into the right mindset – being focused and ready.

The Whispering Angel rosé bar at Heathrow T5; décor at the Gatwick South Terminal Lounge
For me, summer equals rosé, so I love the lounge at the B gates at London Heathrow Terminal 5 (Terminal 5B). It has a Whispering Angel rosé bar, where you can enjoy a chilled glass (or two!) before your flight.

Having spent a lot of time in Turin, I often fly through Milan Linate – and the BA lounge there is a hidden gem. It’s calm, beautifully designed, and always feels like a breath of fresh air before boarding. A perfect mix of espresso and emails, it’s the kind of lounge that makes travel feel effortless.

The renovated BA lounge at New York JFK T8 is a great space, especially for a night flight. It’s spacious, calm, and if you head to the far end, there are quiet corners where you can properly reset. I always bring a travel magnesium spray and have a cup of their chamomile tea, then I’ll do a three-minute breathwork reset before boarding – it helps makes flying less depleting. That’s my biggest tip – use lounge time to regulate your nervous system, not just refuel.

Quiet contemplation in the Chelsea Lounge at JFK
I love the BA lounge at Gatwick’s South Terminal. It’s got a brand-new bar – I recommend trying one of the fantastic negronis!

My top tip is to arrive early to make the most of it. Arriving three hours before your flight gives you time to check-in, pass through security and find your way to the lounge. Then you’ve got time to enjoy a meal, take in the views, and (maybe even) relax!
